1. Don't be a douche.
Uranium's big Rule Number One. It's pretty simple: Use common sense. If you don't listen to the admins, if you're a pain in the ass, if you're just being a total anti-social shitsock, don't expect to be hanging around for long. This is known as "The Faggotry Clause", under which conditions warrant a ban, but not under any other rules listed here.
2. Do NOT be a retard in Cyberspace.
O If you do not know how to deck, this is not really the place to learn how, especially in a full game. If you are going on a cyber-safari and playing with gravity and someone tells you to jack out and you refuse, you may be forcefully disconnected, either by a slap, slay, or if you insist on being a nuisance, even a kick. Cyberspace is very important in this game. A player would not be permitted to grab the flag in a Capture the Flag game and refuse to capture it and instead run around his base with it, and we won't allow the same behavior here. Learn cyberspace in your own LAN server, not here.
O Under no circumstances will point-whoring be acceptable. If a player is breaking into an objective, you have absolutely no business hovering over his shoulder trying to hit the button first so that you will get credited for turret kills, or get the point bonus for capturing the objective. Furthermore, if a player has broken into the node, you also have no business piling programs on as soon as possible, as this makes it impossible for the original decker to perform his duties. There are only two situations where this behavior is not punishable. Another decker IS allowed to put programs on your ICE Wall at the same time you are, as this allows multiple countermeasure programs. Also, another decker IS allowed to provide backup. However, the general etiquette here is that if another decker has entered a node before you, it is HIS to capture. You will be kicked without warning for this behavior, as the only excuse is that you're just a greedy asshole.
3. Don't camp.
This is going to be the hot one right here. "Don't Camp" doesn't mean you can't use the MK808 or the Laser Rifle. "Don't Camp" only applies to the attacking team. "Don't Camp" means that you or the majority of your team should be putting forth an effort to actually advance on the map instead of playing whack-a-mole around corners for twenty minutes or standing on a rooftop shooting enemies who are only coming out because nobody has even tried to attack the objective for the last ten minutes. If you're good with the Laser Rifle, by all means, collect heads from across the map. But if you're good with the Laser Rifle, and so is the rest of the attacking team, and you're ALL lined up trying to shoot people, you might want to reconsider your loadout and/or go play Big Game Hunter instead.
4. Team stacking is a no-no.
O Do not clan stack. If you are in a clan and you play with a buddy, that's fine. If your whole clan joins and stacks one team to steamroll the other team, that's NOT fine. The only exception to this rule is if there just so happens to be a similar-sized clan on the other team, in which case have-at. Failure to adhere to this rule will probably result in an admin shuffling you around or just kicking you off after a warning.
O Be fair. We have global rank now, and while it's not a foolproof indicator of skill, do your best to NOT pile up 3-digit ranks vs a team full of 4-digit sub-4000 newbies. All it does is make the game suck. Use your best judgment on this one. Abusing this will simply piss off the other team, and again, an admin may begin shuffling people around or force balanceteams.
5. Don't be a putz with friendly fire, either as a TKer or a TKee.
If you accidentally kill someone, do your best to apologize. It's not always possible right away, but show some manners. If you have a problem with shooting teammates with thermals on, I strongly suggest you stop using thermals or learn (quickly!) how to differentiate the models. If it still becomes an issue, bad things are probably going to happen to you. The most important thing to remember is that accidents happen. If you get teamkilled in a heavy firefight, unless you are 100% positive it was intentional, you had better not punish for it. If you step on grenades or happen to surprise a teammate with an itchy trigger finger, use your best judgment. I've done it myself, pop a teammate in the head who jumps around a corner at me after running from a fight. Punishing a TKer should only be for TKs you KNEW were intentional.
6. Language.
I curse like a sailor and so do our players. But there's things that aren't allowed. Even 'simple' swear words can get you banned if you're an immature idiot with them. Racist / anti-semitic / bigoted comments aren't going to be received too warmly, so leave them back in 4Chan. It's a freaking game, so I should hope you all have a pretty thick skin by now, and have a good sense of humor.
7. General Server Rules
O No exploit abuse will be permitted under any circumstances. For the record, wall-running is NOT an exploit.
O No cheats, etc. etc. etc. Common sense people, it's pretty much the one thing all these rules have in common.
O Don't advertise in-game for anything. Nobody likes it.
O Don't spam voicecomms or the mic. And if you ARE spamming, don't tell people to turn off their chat or voice comm to ignore it. That'll just piss us off more.
O Don't loiter AFK, because you're gonna get kicked. If you have to pee, so be it. If you have to drive to the store, just leave. Seriously.
8. To dispute a ban or for abuse claims, please sign up for our forums and post your complaint in the PR Forum.
All PR forum posts are read by our admins, so if you feel wrongly banned, leave a post in the forum. Please indicate why you were banned, what warnings you received, and why you feel it is unjust. Include your SteamID. BE POLITE. I cannot stress this enough. If you turn into a dick about it, we'll probably just end up banning you from the forums too. If you get unbanned and become a repeat offender, don't plan on being unbanned. Ever. Go find somewhere else to be a pain in the ass.
